Contemporary art, classical painting, sculpture, anthropology, photography, fashion… Parisian cultural life offers you an almost endless choice. During your stay at the Six Hotel this autumn, take the opportunity to discover some of the exhibitions that will see out 2022 in style.

A few steps from the hotel

The first exhibition we wish to bring to your attention takes place at the Musée du Luxembourg, less than a five-minute walk from the Six. From September 14th, the masterpieces of the Dresden Cabinet of Curiosities will be exhibited there, a set of objects and works collected between the 16th and 18th centuries by the prince electors of Saxony. At the Musée de Cluny, which has just reopened after more than seven years of renovation, you can enjoy an exceptional exhibition dedicated to the Southern French Gothic style of architecture and more particularly to Toulouse between 1300 and 1400. A fascinating glimpse into the past.

Exhibitions for all preferences

Photography lovers have the choice of an exhibition at the Musée de la Liberation dedicated to women war photographers and another at the Musée de l’Homme dedicated to Lekha Sing. Entitled ‘Women Carry the World’, this series of portraits shows us the burdens carried by women globally. At the Musée du Quai Branly, you can meet the Black Indians, the descendants of slaves and native Americans who shaped the culture of Louisiana and New Orleans. Then it’s on to Mexico to discover Frida Kahlo in a whole new light as the Palais Galliera shows us a more intimate side of the great artist through her clothes and other personal items.

Whether you are passionate about art and culture or simply curious, you’re sure to find exhibitions to interest you in Paris this autumn. The Six Hotel team will be happy to provide you with information. Don't forget to book your tickets in advance so you don't waste time!
